Three Muses Storytelling
An Official Event of the Rising High Arts Festival
Three Muses Performance Collective (3MPC), Albuquerque’s newest performing arts company, is bringing a retrospective of their curated storytelling series featuring women on various themes on Thursday, October 15, at 7 PM for one performance ONLY. This is an official event of the Rising High Arts Festival.
Featured storytellers include Pam Breithaup and A Yourd on the theme “Small Moments”; Father Anne and Andi Penner on the theme “Fight or Flight”; and a new story from Muse and story curator, Jane deLaubenfels.
About Three Muses Performance Collective
Three Muses Performance Collective has a mission to strengthen and uplift women’s stories and experiences. 3MPC is the brainchild of producers Theresa A. Carson, Jane deLaubenfels, and Patti Neff-Tiven, who have decades of experience in the creation and production of live arts events, including producing, directing, and performing with companies such as Albuquerque Little Theatre, The Vortex, and Musical Theatre Southwest in ABQ; Ground Floor Theatre, Fusebox Festival, and The Rude Mechs in Austin, TX; and The Artistic Home, Redtwist Theatre, and 2nd Story in Chicago. Three Muses seeks to empower and uplift women’s voices and experiences through new, rising and experimental live performance art.
Free parking is available in FUSION’s main lot, in our lot next to Burger King on Lomas, and is also free along 1st Street after 6 PM (more parking info + map available here).

ABOUT A YOURD
A Yourd (She/They). “A Tale of Two TVs” is a playwright, director, dramaturg, and solo performer based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where they teach theatre courses at UNM and CNM. She holds an MFA in Dramatic Writing from UNM and a BFA in Drama from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.
ABOUT ANDI PENNER
Andi Penner (she/her). “Touch & Go” Andi is a former English professor, author of three self-published poetry collections, and publisher of In Our Own Ink on Substack. Her work has appeared in literary journals, anthologies, op eds, and academic publications. She occasionally teaches "Mindful Editing" and "How to Write Your Own Obituary" for local and national writing groups. A popular reader at local open mics, Andi debuts her storytelling talent tonight with an excerpt from her memoir-in-progress, Ocean, Desert, Sky: A Memoir of Leaving and Becoming. ABOUT FATHER ANNE
Father Anne (she/her). “Pente-Cost” Father Anne was ordained a Roman Catholic priest on October 16, 2021, through a reform movement called the Association of Roman Catholic Women Priests. Because the Catholic Church prevents the full participation of women in Church life, Father Anne was forced to choose between obedience to God and obedience to Church law. Choosing God, she was excommunicated, ending her career in the Church she loves. She now devotes her life to ordination justice in one of the most powerful institutions in the world. Father Anne has a Master of Divinity from Jesuit School of Theology and a Master of Arts in Rhetoric and Writing Studies from San Diego State University. Her deepest desire is to serve as a parish priest in the Roman Catholic Church. She works for the day this dream comes true.
ABOUT JANE DELAUBENFELS
Jane deLaubenfels (She/Her). “Baked Potato” Jane is a co-founding member of Three Muses Performance Collective. She is a storyteller, actor and audiobook narrator. Jane recently moved here from Chicago, where she performed with numerous theaters and storytelling companies, including The Artistic Home, Redtwist, and 2nd Story. In Albuquerque she appeared in What the Constitution Means to Me at The Vortex Theatre.
ABOUT PAM BREITHAUPT
Pam Breithaupt (She/Her). “My Father’s Chair” Pam has acted with several theaters in New Mexico and Texas. In 2023, she played alongside actor and playwright Wallace Shawn in “Measure for Measure” in Marfa, TX. In ABQ, she sings in the Oasis Show Tunes Choir and has acted with the Rio Rancho Players. Pam has been a storyteller with Three Muses Storytelling since the beginning.
