Amaya Dance Productions and New Mexico Belly Dance present Bal Anat Welcome Reception. Albuquerque welcomes the international Bal Anat Dance company cast members in a tribute to the legacy of legendary Jamila & Suhaila Salimpour. Top belly dancers of the local community will join live music Sazler Band for a night of twirling veils, mesmerizing music, and exciting drums to showcase the legacy of the Bal Anat empire.

About Amaya Dance Productions

Amaya is the founder and director of Amaya Dance Productions, creating and hosting large scale belly dance stage shows, intimate workshop intensives, and everything in between for over 40 years, including three documentary films. Amaya is a legend and icon in American Belly Dance and has performed in over 20 countries, and is an elite dance teacher, sharing her fluid and dynamic style throughout the world. She is an established judge in national and international dance competitions and has received numerous awards including several lifetime achievement awards.

About New Mexico Belly Dance

New Mexico Belly Dance is an association dedicated to promoting the beauty and diversity of Middle Eastern Dance and associated world dances in New Mexico through community, education, and instruction. Our membership consists of New Mexico's best instructors and professional belly dancers for hire who adhere to a professional code of ethics as members of the association, possessing years of performance experience and instructional education.
