FUSION Theatre Company Presents not LOST but FOUND in TRANSLATION

“I love space shaped by someone else—then I try to fill it” –Jenny Holzer

FUSION Theatre Company Presents not LOST but FOUND in TRANSLATION from July 17–20, in concert with The Albuquerque Museum’s exhibition, Light, Space, and the Shape of Time which features the artists Peter Alexander, Neal Ambrose-Smith (Confederated Salish and Kootenai Nation of Montana), LaTurbo Avedon, Larry Bell, Barbara Bock, Dan Flavin, Jenny Holzer, Robert Irwin, Florence Miller Pierce, August Muth, Michael Namingha (Tewa/Hopi), Soo Sunny Park, Helen Pashgian, James Turrell, Leo Villareal, and Kumi Yamashita.

In not LOST but FOUND in TRANSLATION, Artists/Performers present a weaving together of personal histories recounting strength, resilience, resets, and connections within challenging times. Conceived and directed by Laurie Thomas, it is a devised work with written, cinematic, movement, and musical input from the artists involved. In honoring the exhibit Light, Space, and the Shape of Time, the piece plays with and coaxes one’s perceptions to grow beyond habitual experience into a unique vision of light and expansion even within the dark corners of life—unveiling mysteries, ambiguities, possibilities, and intersections that can be accessed and help nourish life-affirming encounters. Spoken word, sound/music, dance, and film are featured in the journey.

The cast includes Ashley Deleona, Alissa Hall, Catherine Harlow, Josh Heard, Alicia Lueras Maldonado, Joseph Sabella, and filmmaker Isaac Lipkowitz.

Thanks to The City of Albuquerque, tickets are FREE or Pay What You Wish, and all are welcome to come be inspired!
