FUSION Theatre Company Presents not LOST but FOUND in TRANSLATION
FUSION Theatre Company Presents not LOST but FOUND in TRANSLATION from July 17–20 written and directed by Laurie Thomas, in concert with The Albuquerque Museum’s exhibition, Light, Space, and the Shape of Time featuring artists Peter Alexander, Neal Ambrose-Smith (Confederated Salish and Kootenai Nation of Montana), LaTurbo Avedon, Larry Bell, Barbara Bock, Dan Flavin, Jenny Holzer, Robert Irwin, Florence Miller Pierce, August Muth, Michael Namingha (Tewa/Hopi), Soo Sunny Park, Helen Pashgian, James Turrell, Leo Villareal, and Kumi Yamashita.
In not LOST but FOUND in TRANSLATION, five artists and performers (of diverse backgrounds and ages) present a weaving together of personal histories recounting strength, resilience, resets, and connections within challenging times. In honoring the exhibit Light, Space, and the Shape of Time, the piece plays with and coaxes one’s perceptions to grow beyond habitual experience into a unique vision of light and expansion even within the dark corners of life—unveiling mysteries, ambiguities, possibilities, and intersections that can be accessed and help nourish life-affirming encounters. Spoken word, sound/music, dance, and film are featured in the journey.
