Woven Reverie is bringing a three-day experience from July 24–26, including an exhibit open house, live performances, and workshops, culminating in a fashion show on Saturday evening at FUSION | The Cell!
Woven Reverie is a collaborative and immersive experience of the overwhelming possibilities that exist in fiber crafts. Artists will showcase their expertise as they present centerpieces, accessories, and structural representations of their discipline. The intersectionality of artistry and identity will be displayed by locals as they express their individuality. The artists will have the opportunity to share their connection to queerness, gender, culture, and race, while also creating pieces that exist outside of themselves. This showcase will highlight the wide network of creators within Albuquerque that express themselves through fiber.
Inspirations and traditions used are specific to the artists; some collections are collaborative, while others are born from an individual mind. Expressions cover waste in fashion, cultural identity, multimedia creations, and more.
Throughout human history, all great civilizations have used textiles as a means of expressing their culture, and that artistry still exists today. This showcase will create an opportunity for local artists to share the lengths fiber arts has come in the approximate 25,000 years since its origins. With “fiber arts” as the seed, the featured artists will have free rein in their creative expression to grow their collection.
Tickets for the Fashion Show on Saturday, July 26, from 8–10 PM are $25.

Saturday, July 26, from 11 AM–4 PM: FREE Workshops from Enchanted Spinners, Crochet Guild, and Muñeca (including crocheting, knitting, felting, embroidery, yarn spinning, and block printing)
Saturday, July 26, from 8–10 PM: Ticketed Fashion Show featuring Grampy Squares, Alfredo Quiroz, Dezert Mage, Allison Saint, Indigo Moon, The Js Look, and Lissette, with performances by Gabriel Carrion-Gonzalez, Chloë Violet, Athena, DJ Anjo, and Casa Del Creativo. Tickets are $25
