GothiCumbia Goth Industrial Rock and Roll with a Barrio Twist/ Celebrating Mexican Independence Day and recognizing the Immigrant Community as a whole. A dance party you don’t want to miss!
Evoking the lingering impacts of colonialism, including a persistent socioeconomic gap and racial discrimination, especially against POC and indigenous populations.
An experience of cultural backgrounds and upbringings through the musical curation of DJs Chamuco, Riff Ratt, and K.Oss.
ABOUT DJ K.OSS
Dj K.Oss (Kenneth Cornell) became a DJ and began producing events in the goth industrial club scene in 2010. He is also currently a Producer, MC, and event coordinator. Events include Sanctuary Above the Crypt, Club Sanctuary (2010–2015), Pheonix/Dominion (2012–2015), and Alchemy (2017–Current). DJ K.Oss is the resident DJ for Alchemy, which presently hosts special events in various locations throughout New Mexico. DJ K.Oss spins various genres of music, including EBM, Goth, Industrial, and Post Punk.
ABOUT DJ RIFF RATT
DJ Riff Ratt (Paul Sanders) began spinning Goth, Punk, New Wave, Ska, and occasionally ‘80s Vinyl records in 2019. He is the resident DJ for monthly goth nights/dark markets at Tractor Brewing, where he hosts a rotating guest DJs every month. DJ Riff Ratt has spun records at nights such as Alchemy, Apparition, and Nightshade in Santa Fe. He has also been a host DJ at numerous Punk Rock and Ska concerts locally. Riff Ratt has a love for Vinyl and primarily hosts nights that are vinyl only. He also caters to the All Ages Community.
ABOUT DJ CHAMUCO
DJ Chamuco established the Barrio Hi-Fi Sonido/ Vinyl Collectivo in 2019. Djing Soul, Funk, Reggae, Dancehall in Espanol, Cumbia, and Chica since 2005, DJ Chamuco brings a mix of vinyl and digital music to the barrio. He is a KUNM DJ radio volunteer for the Raices radio colectivo since 2022. DJ Chamuco hosts a monthly Soul and Rocksteady night at Tractor Brewery Nob Hill, is a resident DJ at High Desert Relief, and spins for Deecee's Soul Shakedown Party's.
