FUSION Theatre Company presents GAZING
FUSION Theatre Company presents GAZING from July 16–19, in concert with The Albuquerque Museum’s exhibition, The Woods Before Sunrise: Environment and Place in New Mexico's Black Contemporary, which “showcases the work of nine contemporary artists whose interpretations of the local environment appeal to universal themes of sustainability, cultural history, and a personal connection to nature.” The exhibition, co-curated by artist Nikesha Breeze and Assistant Curator of Art William Gassaway, PhD., features the artists Breeze, Ron Adams, Noé Barnett, Maurice Burns, Karsten Creightney, Jakia Fuller, Jackie Mitchell Edwards, Rein Whitt-Pritchette, and Paula Wilson.
In conversation with the exhibit, GAZING is a theatrical exploration of POV within the art world, the intimately personal interior, and the “unadulterated” realm of childhood. Journey through the landscapes of the brain, the soul, the heart, and the collective. Conceived and Directed by Laurie Thomas.
